King Edward VIII signed bookplate affixed into a 1^st edition copy of his 1951 biography ‘A King’s Story’. With a handwritten inscription ‘To Bernard, wish best wishes from Edward, May 1951’.

Superb provenance - from the collection of John Bernard Rickatson-Hatt - a close friend of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, as well as of Ernest Simpson, Wallis Simpsons first husband. Served in the British Army, Editor-in-Chief for Reuters & Adviser to The Bank of England.
