Dambusters 65th double, signed Les Munro

Dambusters 65th anniversary doubled with Union Flag stamps and two different Scampton special postmarks dated 21st March & 16th May.

Signed by Squadron Leader Les Munro. Limited edition of 55 covers.

Les Munro was the pilot of bomber AJ-W which was scheduled to attack the Scorpe Dam. However, they were forced to turn back after his aircraft lost all communications after being damaged by flak over the Netherlands.
