The Legend of Robin Hood
One of the most well-known and legendary outlaws is celebrated on this new set of stamps.
Robin Hood is a mythical figure from English folklore, who is said to have lived during the reign of King Richard the Lionheart in the late 12th century. Robbing the rich to give to the poor, he has been represented many times in film, television and books, and now in stamps!
Featuring the exploits of highly skilled archer and swordsman Robin Hood along with his Merry Men on ten new 1st class stamps. Myth or Legend? You Decide.
Our Designer Katherine tells us: "For this pair of legendary covers we wanted to focus on two places - Nottingham and Sherwood Forest as iconic places associated with the legend of Robin Hood. One cover has a photograph of the Robin Hood statue situated on Robin Hood Lawn beneath Nottingham Castle. The second cover features a photograph of Sherwood Forest and is a timeless look into what life might have looked like for an outlaw on the run".
