Knott is widely regarded as the greatest wicket keepers in the sports history. He was known for his eccentricity and played 95 Tests & 20 ODIs for England. A Kent legend who played for the county across three decades including their golden era of the 1970s. In 2018 during England's 1000^th Test, he was named in the country's greatest Test XI.
