Farewell to the Machin 2023
The 31st January is the official last day of use of the Machin definitive without a barcode (though there will be a grace period till 31st July to use the old ones).
Buckingham covers are marking this event with this special cover featuring a complete set of the 1971 First Decimal Machin definitives and the traditional Windsor Philatelic counter postmark which must have been used on thousands of these stamps over the last forty years.
We think this cover makes a fitting tribute to the Machin definitive before we all start using the new stamps with the barcodes attached.
