1951 Festival High Values, Battersea CDS

3rd May 1951 Festival High Values full set with Battersea slogan and CDS postmarks. Festival logo illustrated cover and handwritten address to Nashville, USA. The official Festival Gardens were at Battersea. £900 catalogue value.

The set was issued for the 1951 Festival, which aimed to promote a public mood of recovery following the Second World War. The issue included two commemorative stamps, plus four high value & five low value definitives. They were all issued on the 3^rd May & first day covers with every value are hard to find.
