Tony Brooks Wins the Syracuse Grand Prix 1955, signed Michael Turner

Tony Brooks' win at the 1955 Syracuse Grand Prix was special not only because it marked his first Formula 1 victory, but it was also the first race he completed after two mechanical retirements. He won the race driving for Connaught, a underdog team compared to the likes of Mercedes and Ferrari and one of just two Britihs teams at the time. The race win showcased his talent, determination, and ability on what was known as a tricky circuit at Syracuse in Sicily, with tight corners and narrow sections.

Connaught Official, commemorative Motorsport collectable marks the 50th Anniversary of Tony Brooks winning the Syracuse Grand Prix with Daventry (near Silverstone) postmark 23.10.2005. Design showcases a painting by reknowned Motorsport artist Michael Turner of Brooks winning at Syracuse in 1955. Autographed by Michael Turner who has chronicled the history of international motor racing through his art for over 40 years.
