Keith Park (1892 - 1975) was Gallipoli veteran of the First World War. During WWII he was placed in command of No. 11 Group of the RAF, the Group responsible for the defence of Southeast England and London. Due to the strategic and geographic location of this part of England, Park’s Group bore the brunt of the Luftwaffe assault during the Battle of Britain and was widely praised for his superb leadership.
