Edward Hardwicke and David Burke are both British actors known for their portrayal of Dr. John Watson in the Granada Television adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories, starring Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.

David Burke originated the role of Dr. Watson in the Granada series, appearing alongside Jeremy Brett as Holmes in the first two seasons, which aired from 1984 to 1985. Edward Hardwicke succeeded Burke in the series, taking over the role from the third season onwards.
