Severiano ‘Seve’ Ballesteros was a Spanish golfer who won more than 90 international tournaments including five major championships. He is widely regarded as the greatest continental European golfer of all time and played a leading role in the success of the European Ryder Cup team, enjoying five wins during his time as a player and captain.

José María Olazábal is a Spanish golfer and the winner of two majors. In 2012 he captained Europe’s Ryder Cup team to a famous comeback victory when at the start of the final day the Europeans trailed 10–6 before winning 14½–13½.
