Red Arrows & Hawk Aircraft 50th Anniversary

Red Arrows 60th anniversary miniature sheet stamps cover, showcasing the iconic aerobatics team performances on the world stage. RAF Waddington postmark on the stamps release date (20th June 2024), doubled with a Cardiff running postmark on the 50th anniversary of the Hawk's first flight (21st August 2024).

Hawker Siddeley (now BAE Systems) designed and built the Hawk as an advanced training jet for the RAF.It was on the 21st August 1974 that the prototype took off from RAF Valley, Wales, for the first time. The Hawk has been used by the Red Arrows Team since 1979.
