The Royal Wedding - 29th April 2011
Two billion people watched the royal fairy story wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the 29th April 2011. Over one million poeple took to the streets of London, street parties were held all over Britain and the world looked on as Prince William in the Abbey mouthed the words "you're stunning, just beautiful".
1900 guests filled Westminster Abbey, which was resplendent with trees lining the aisle and with hats of all sorts, from the beautiful to the bizarre.
The wedding dress, designed by Sarah Burton for McQueen, was being copied in China even as Catherine walked down the aisle. The train measured 9ft and was held carefully by the beautiful Pippa Middleton, who herself attracted a personal fan club.
