12th October 2010, the New Queen Elizabeth left Southampton on her maiden Voyage. She was named on the 11th October 2010 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.  We were thrilled to work once again with Cunard to mark Queen Elizabeth's Maiden Voyage. We set ourselves the challenge of creating a cover to mark this massive event in the history of the seas, that is as special as the great Ocean Liner herself.

This beautiful cover features a majestic image of the gracious new liner and a stamp and label from our sheet, postmarked in Southampton. Each of these limited edition covers will have been onboard Queen Elizabeth's Maiden Voyage from Southampton. Each cover arrives with a certificate and stamped with an exclusive "carried cachet" (rubber stamp). It also carries a genuine 1969 QE2 stamp overprinted "Maiden Voyage Queen Elizabeth 2010". Limited Numbers are available personally signed by the Captain Chris Wells.

Cunard Queen Elizabeth

Cunard's illustrious reputation for exquisite ocean travel will be further enchanced with the arrival of the much awaited Queen Elizabeth in October 2010. Recalling the rich heritage of the first Cunarder to bear the name, her elegance will echo both that legendary age and complement her luxurious modern allure.

Queen Eilzabeth will offer the very best of Cunard's values and traditions, blended with every conceivable modern luxury that today's discerning travellers expect. Through her opulent public rooms and impeccable service, the new ship will reflect the grandeur which has been associated with Cunard ships since the introduction of Mauretania in 1907.

From the outside, her black hull, gleaming white superstructure and distinctive red funnel will echo the classic characteristics of the company's distinctive liner heritage and Cunard's gracious new Cunarder will fly the Red Ensign with her home port Southampton.

The 92,000 ton magnificent liner was constructed by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri at their Manfalcone yard. The vessel is the second largest Cunarder ever built and on joining her sister ships Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria in October 2010 she will become part of the youngest fleet in the World.

Queen Elizabeth begins her exciting new journey from October 2010 as her first six discoveries introduce her to chic European destinations, before a spectacular Maiden World Voyage in early 2011. She shall spend the rest of her 2011 maiden season on a series of explorations roundtrip from Southampton across the Mediterranean and Baltic Seas, to Northern Europe and amidst Norway's fjords. She shall also venture out into the Atlantic Ocean, both the Canary Islands and the autumnal beauty of New England.
