Concorde returned from New York to London for the last time on the 24th October, 2003. This cover is postmarked 5 years on exactly to the day. The cover carries a Union Jack stamp a label from of our Concorde; Queen of the Skies stamp sheet, along with a Heathrow postmark (24th October, 2008), and has been doubled with a single 1969 Concorde stamp and 'Fnal Arrival in London' cachet, along with a USA stamp and 'Final Departure from New York to London' cachet. It is available signed by Captain Mike Bannister.

Concorde - Final Transatlantic Flights 23rd and 24th October
It was an emotional scene at Heathrow airport when Concorde, the legendary supersonic aircraft, finally landed at the end of it's last commercial passenger flight on 24th October 2003. This final transatlantic flight, ended 27 years if aviation history and carried 100 celebrities from New York touching down at 16.05 BST. As it did so, the thousands of people gathered by the runway on a specially built grandstand sent up a tremendous cheer.

Mike Bannister is an airline pilot. He is most famous as the Chief Pilot of British Airways' Concorde fleet, a post which he held from 1995 until its withdrawal from service in 2003.
