Nearly every child has grown up with Rudyard Kipling's classics, The Jungle Book and the Just So Stories. Generations of us were tucked into bed and given his imaginative, crazily improbable explanations of the world around us, such as how the elephant got his trunk.
These gorgeous stamps capture each Just So story and we worked with the National Trust to produce this limited edition of just 75 official first day covers.Limited Edition of just 75
This rare cover is a classic from 2002. It features all 10 of the colourful Just So Stories on a National Trust cover showing Batemans, the family home of Rudyard Kipling (where he did most of his writing) and is postmarked in Burwash, East Sussex, where the house is situated.
Charming and highly recommended.
This is a classic cover from the first ever Buckingham Cover series. It was in fact, only the 15th first day cover we ever produced.
Because of this, it doesn't have all the niceties of our covers today. Signed editions do not have labels on the reverse (we started this in 2005) for example. But this is part of the charm. Our style may have evolved but the design still has the hallmark of Buckingham quality.Signed Editions
We were thrilled that 3 best selling authors agreed to sign this cover: Baroness P.D. James, Ruth Rendell and Leslie Thomas.
P.D. James is perhaps best known for her series of books featuring the Scotland Yard policeman Commander Adam Dalgliesh. The ALL editions of this cover arenow SOLD OUT.
