World of Invention
Since the beginning of speech, communication has constantly been developed and improved. It is the reason why mankind has been so successful as a species. For centuries, communicatins only improved very slowly. Although the Romans built roads, for centuries Britian's roads were unpaved muddy tracks. But as Britain changed from agriculture to industrial society, the need for better communications developed very rapidly.
