One of the loveliest Christmas covers produced. We can offer this genuinely signed by a National Treasure - the artist, Raymond Briggs. As well as Father Christmas, he also created The Snowman. Postmarked at Bloomsbury (to go with the Bloomin' theme).
The Snowman has become one of the best loved Christmas stories. It was first published in 1982 and became an instant success. Films and videos soon followed and now Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without it. The author, Raymond Briggs is an accomplished artist and illustrator. He studied painting at the Wimbledon School of Art, typography at the Central School of Art and then painting at the Slade School.
Raymond won the Francis Williams Award for Best Children's book in 1982 with the Snowman.
One winter morning a little boy called James wakes to find that everything outside has turned snow white. Overjoyed, he rushes into the garden, where he begins to build a snowman. That night, he wakes at midnight and decides to check on his snowman. He opens the back door....He can't believe his eyes....The snowman has come to life!
