This tribute cover is available signed by Jim Wallwork DFC, the first man in the first allied aircraft to land on D-Day. The arrival of the advance forces on D-Day needed to be swift and silent. Their mission was to take 2 bridges but the Germans planted mines throughout the entire area and the fields that the gliders were to land were tiny. Despite all this, they succeeded - an incredible feat. Sir Arthur "Bomber" Harris said later "there is no highest test of piloting skill".
