Issue Name: Classic TV - 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who Signed Daphne Ashbrook
Producer: Buckingham Covers
The BBC has delighted generations of fans as 11 Doctors have fought the various evil forces to save various worlds. It was difficult to single out any particular Doctor so Royal Mail has issued a separate stamp for all 11. This cover features the single Tom Baker Doctor Who stamp along with our Sonic Screwdriver Cardiff postmark (the home of the Doctor Who Experience and Doctor Who location), and is available signed by Daphne Ashbrook (who played Dr Grace Holoway, an accompliced surgeon and opera buff, companion of the eighth Doctor in Doctor Who), or is available double signed by both Daphne Ashbrook and Paul McGann (8th Doctor).
We are an official Doctor Who licensee and we are proud to have the BBC logo on the back of our cover. It makes this an official Doctor Who collectable.
The first Doctor Who was broadcast on the 23rd November 1963. The original actor playing him was William Hartnell, a mysterious grumpy but ultimately heroic traveller whose role ended in 1966. Since then another 10 actors have played the Doctor's various incarnations throughout the years.
