Issue Name: Space Tourism Signed Cover
Producer: Buckingham Covers
This was where it all began - the first ever Buckingham cover and the subject of the stamps was, aptly enough, The Future. Space Tourism was in the news, so Tony imagined a future trip to Mars in 2015! At the time, there had been no space tourists but now two have made the trip and Virgin Space is imminent. Spot the "Mars Bar stamp" (10 Bahz). Of course, the first Space Tourists were the moonwalkers. This cover is available signed by Dave Scott, Alexi Leonov, Colin Baker, or signed by all three.
Since 1969 men have walked on the moon. LIke explorers of old, men are risking their lives to widen our horizons. We now take for granted that we can have exotic holidays in far flung places where only intrepid explorers once walked. Already there are offers of flights into space. By the time the children on the stamps have become adults, a holiday in space is likely to be the exotic destination they will choose.
