2016 marks 100 years since Agatha Christie penned her first murder mystery 'The Mysterious Affair at Styles'. Royal Mail issued these stamps based on Agatha's famous books. We have designed this fantastic cover celebrating 'The Mysterious Affair at Styles', in which the victim is found in the morning, having been poisoned during the night, Poirot is called to investigate by his friend Hastings. This cover features the full set of stamps with our Agatha Christie Torquay postmark.

Celebrating Agatha Christie

2016 marks 100 years since Agatha Christie penned her first murder mystery, 'The Mysterious Affair at Styles'. It ws also the first novel to introduce one of the most famous characters in literary history, Hercule Poirot. Agatha Christie's books have captured the imagination of generations of people; many of her books have been adapted into films and television productions, with the latest series of 'And Then There Were None' and Partners In Crime' proving the timeless appeal of her writing.

Hugh Fraser is an English actor, theatre director and author probably best known for his role as Captain Arthur Hastings in the Agatha Christie series Poirot.

 

David Suchet CBE is an English actor, known for his work on British stage and television, and most famously known for playing Hercule Poirot.
