Neville Chamberlain signed typed letter on 11 Downing Street headed paper dated 23rd June 1937 regarding an article Chamberlain wrote for 'The Countryman' magazine.
Chamberlain was Conservative Prime Minister from 1937 to 1940 and is largely remembered for his appeasement towards Hitler’s Germany and signing the Munich Agreement. Chamberlain resigned eight months into the Second World War after Labour and Liberal members refused to support him. Before the war he succeeded in achieving better working and living conditions for the poor, restricted excessive working hours, and introduced pay for workers whilst on holidays.
