Thomas and Hornby - Thomas the Tank Engine
Inspired by their ethos of 'making models real', Buckingham Covers teamed up with Hornby in 2003 to celebrate the fantastic work that Hornby continue to do to promote the wonders of the world of railways and locomotives. We produced a special cinderella stamp sheet for them, which not surprisingly has gone on to be incredibly popular. Our Hornby covers sold out very quickly, and we had the pleasure of making one of our Hornby covers the very first cover of our very first railway series.
After the discovery of a small number of unused covers that we were not aware of until recently, we are thrilled to be able to revisit our Hornby covers, and bring you this Hornby and Thomas the Tank Engine cover. The cover, like our first railway series cover of 2003, bears our full Hornby miniature sheetlet, bearing a special Hornby TPO 'CDS', as well as a single Thomas the Tank Engine stamp torn from Royal Mail's Thomas the Tank Engine minaiture sheet.
