Not since the union of Prince Charles and Prince Diana has the world seen such anticipation at this once in a lifetime event. This is our main first day cover celebrating the royal marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. New stamps have been issued by Royal Mail to mark the Royal Wedding, and limited editions are available signed by Countess Mountbatten of Burma, Grant Harrold or Baron Campbell of Pittenweem.

HRH Prince William is second in succession to the British throne. When he was 8 he accompanied his parents on a visit to Wales on 1st March 1991, St David's Day. It was his first official public engagement.
Prince William was educated at Eton Colelge. Rather than go straight to university, he chose a gap year and worked with Raleigh International doing volunteer work in Chile and Belize as well as spending time in Africa. Following his gap year, Prince William attended the University of St Andrews in Fife, initially to study History of Arts before changing to geography.
Catherine Elizabeth 'Kate' Middleton is the eldest daughter of Michael and Carole Middleton. She was educated at St Andrews School in Pangbourne and Marlborough College. She went on to study History of Art at St Andrews University, Fife.
HRH Prince William and Miss Middleton met and became friends whilst at university and shared a flat in St Andrews before becoming involved in a relationship. The couple were first seen publicly on a ski trip to Klosters and have garnered much media attention ever since. After leaving university Miss Middleton took a job as an Assistant Accessories Buyer at Jigsaw and Prince William chose to pursue a career in the military, initially enrolling as an officer caded at Sandhurst Military Academy.
In October 2010 the couple went on holiday to Kenya, where Prince William proposed on the 19th October, but the announcement was not until the 16th November 2010.
