Peter Cushing (1913–1994) was a distinguished English actor renowned for his roles in horror, fantasy, and science fiction films. Cushing became a household name through his work with Hammer Film Productions, portraying Baron Frankenstein in Frankenstein and Dr. Van Helsing in Dracula. He became known to global audience as Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977).
