King Charles III £5 Polymer Banknote Cover

To commemorate the King’s new banknotes, we have produced a limited-edition of 60 covers with an uncirculated condition £5 note encased within. This is the first time we have produced a banknote cover, giving you a unique opportunity to add a totally different element to your Buckingham collection. Our design mirrors the colours of the £5 note, and is postmarked on the day of release with a London S.W. CDS (Circular Date Stamp) postmark 05.06.24.

These polymer banknotes were issued on the 5th June and feature an engraving of the King based on a picture from 2013. Unlike his mother’s banknotes, the King is not wearing a crown. There are no other changes to the existing designs which continue to feature on the reverse, Winston Churchill (£5), Jane Austen (£10), J.M.W. Turner (£20) and Alan Turing (£50).
