John Glenn signed 1962 Project Mercury cover with a 20th February launch day Cape Canaveral postmark. 

One of the original Mercury Seven astronauts, Glenn was the first American to orbit the Earth during the Mercury 6 mission. He is the oldest professional astronaut to have flown in space, aged 77, on the Space Shuttle Discovery STS-95 mission.
