HMS Antelope Sinking, signed Martin Hickman
Commemorating 40 Years since the loss of HMS Antelope during the Falklands Conflict. With an image of the ship and our Plymouth running postmark dated 23rd May 2022, the anniversary of her sinking. A limited edition of 15 covers signed by Martin Hickman, a Marine Engineering Mechanic First Class (MEM1) onboard HMS Antelope when she was hit by Argentine aircraft and sunk during the Battle of San Carlos.
Hickman’s Action Station was the After Auxiliary Machinery Room, but was mustered onto the flight deck when the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) Team tried to diffuse two unexploded bombs. Hickman, along with most of the crew, were evacuated to HMS Fearless.
