FlexiPay is an interest-free way of spreading the cost of an order over a series of months. If there’s a special cover you’ve had your eye on for a while, a few covers, or maybe even a collection but it seems out of your price range, we can reserve it for you and you can pay off the order in regular installments. FlexiPay is completely interest-free: you don’t pay any extra to have your covers reserved. The scheme is run by our lovely and very efficient Sarah so you know that you will be well looked after! Lots of collectors love their hobby but find the cost a lot to bear sometimes. We created FlexiPay so that everyone could have the chance of owning that special item that they’ve always wanted. It’s also a good way of reserving a limited edition cover that you really don’t want to miss out on but can’t quite afford just yet.
The rest of this page answers the most asked questions about FlexiPay:
How to pay
FlexiPay is interest free service and we don’t make any administration charges either.
You pay the cost of your order and nothing else.
Payment is needed by 20th of each month while your order is active.
Payments are processed on the 25th of each month (or the nearest working day to that date).
With regret, we cannot offer you the date of your choice for monthly payments.
The lowest monthly installment we can accept is £10
We prefer you to give us a credit card or debit card details. We will securely store these and automatically charge the monthly installment on the 25th of each month (or the nearest working day to that date).
Once you’ve paid enough to cover the value of anything you’ve ordered, it will be sent to you. That means you may get more than one postage charge per FlexiPay order.
If you want us to wait until everything is paid for and then send your entire order all together, so you only pay one postage charge, let us know before your first payment.
Our standard postage charges apply per sending: £2.45 for UK orders, £3.45 for all overseas orders
Over how long can you spread payments?
You can spread payments for up to a year (12 months).
FlexiPay payments cannot extend beyond 12 months from the date set up.
We cannot reserve goods indefinitely.
Making changes to your FlexiPay order
We are happy to make any changes you want BEFORE your first installment has been paid.
Once the monthly payments have begun, we cannot make changes or alternations to your existing FlexiPay order.
You can cancel your FlexiPay order all together once payments have started.
You can also set up a new FlexiPay order to run at the same time once payments have started.
When will you get your order?
Goods will be sent once their value has been reached by monthly installments (unless you ask us to hold everything and send all together once you’ve paid your final installment).
Nothing will be sent until paid for in full.
If you owe us money for anything else (not related to your FlexiPay order), you will not get your FlexiPay order until your account is cleared.
What if your order isn’t ready to send?
If what you want is in production when you place your order, a certain amount of risk is involved. Producing covers is a risky business and we can never be sure when the covers will be ready. There is even a risk that they may not happen at all.
If the goods are not ready to send when you have completed payments, this is what will happen:
We will contact you by letter and, if we have the details, by phone and email as well to let you know.
We will arrange for the good(s) to be sent to you as soon as they arrive, with no postage charge.
We will keep in touch with you every few months if the delay continues.
If you no longer want to wait, we will refund you in full and credit your account with £5 to apologize for the problem.
Missed payments or declined cards
If you miss a monthly payment, this is what will happen:
We will contact you by letter and, if we have the details, by phone and email as well. Hopefully the problem can be quickly sorted out.
If we don’t hear back from you, we will automatically add the missed payment to the end of your agreed installments.
If we have card details for you, your card will be automatically charged for the missing payment the month after your FlexiPay was due to end.
For example, if your FlexiPay order was due to finish in June but you missed April’s payment, then we will extend the installments to finish in July and charge you the missing payment then.
If you miss a second payment (whether through a card decline or by not sending a cheque) then this is what will happen:
We will contact you by letter and, if we have the details, by phone and email as well, giving a 2 week deadline for you to contact us.
If we don’t hear back from you by the deadline, we will cancel your FlexiPay order altogether and refund any payments you have made to date. If you have given us card details, the refund will be done to that card, otherwise we will send you a cheque in the post.
If your FlexiPay order is cancelled, the goods will be offered to other customers. If you want to re-instate the order later on, we can’t promise the goods you wanted will still be available. We also cannot guarantee that they will be available at the same price as before.
Goods remain the property of Internet Stamps Group Limited (the parent company of Buckingham Covers) until payment is received in full.
We are always delighted to hear your comments and feedback (good or bad) about how FlexiPay is working for you. You can contact us by phone 01303 278137, email us or write to us at the usual address.
