Falklands Tribute, Signed Thomas Herring

2007 Falklands Conflict 25th anniversary souvenir cover with a 1st Class Union Jack stamp and our special anniversary Falkland Road, London N8 postmark. Signed by Thomas Herring who served with the 3^rd Parachute Battalion, The Parachute Regiment during the Falklands War. He is the current Chairman of the South Atlantic Medal Association. A limited edition of 25 covers.

Herring was part of the operation to retake Mount Longdon, a key strategic position overlooking Port Stanley. The battle was fought in freezing conditions with both hand to hand and ranged combat. The result was a British victory at the cost of 23 soldiers’ lives.
