King Edward VII signed 1901 Military Document
King Edward VII signed document dated 11th May 1901 appointing Colonel Frederick Francis Johnson as an additional member of the military division of the third class & a Companion of the Order of the Bath.
King Edward VII was King of the United Kingdom, the British Dominions, and Emperor of India. Isolated from any political influence during Victoria's reign due to their often troubled relationship, he instead gained a reputation for embodying the fashionable elite. However, during his reign he played an active part in the modernisation of the British Fleet and the reform of the Army; with the Edwardian era witnessing significant changes in technology, culture, and the broader role of society.
