Willie Carson had plenty of second thoughts about a career in racing and admits that in the early days, he was tempted to give up. Born on November 16th 1942 in Sterling (Scotland), Carson is probably best remembered for his time with two completely different racehorses: Nashwan and Dayjur.
Since retiring from being a jockey, Carson is busier than ever! He splits his time commentating for the BBC and is European racing manager for The Thoroughbred Corporation. He also runs his Minster House Stud.
