Mike Addley served an apprenticeship at Vickers-Armstrongs and was in the design office at Weybridge before joining Blackburn Aircraft as a flight test observer in 1961. He covered all aspects of Buccaneer development, and then joined BAC in 1967. He was part of the first crew of Concorde 002 and he continued flying on Concorde until late 1976 when he joined British Airways as a Flight Engineer.
At the end of 1981, he moved to Airbus, Toulouse as a training flight engineer. Up until his retirement in March 1998 he was involved in training, production and development flying on all Airbus types.
