After drama school David played in various reperatory companies. His first London appearance was in the premiere of CP. Taylors Bread and Butter at the Jeanetta Cochrane Theatre.
He played Givola in Michael Blakemore's production of Arturo UI at the Nottingham playhouse and in London. At the National Theatre he appeared in The Front Page, Macbeth, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Grand Manoeuvres. Later he appeared in Michael Frayn's Make and Break and Filumena directed by Franco Zeffirelli The Price and Comedians. He also played Edward Elgar in Stirring the Spirit a musical drama at the ICA Theatre.
He has made many appearances on television in plays and series including Death of a Salesman, The Other Man, The Accountant, Dr Who, Time Slip, The Bill, Casualty and played Albert Einstein in two BBC drama documentaries.
He has done extensive work in the voice field creating the voice of Parker and Brains in the puppet series Thunderbirds and is currently working on two animation series for Children Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom, and recently he appeared in The Bespoke Overcoat as Fender at the New End Theatre London.
