Samantha Bond trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has appeared in repertory at Coventry, Southampton, Derby, Edinburgh and Bristol. Her West End Theatre credits include Juliet opposite Kenneth Branagh's Romeo, and later Beatrice opposite Branagh's Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Three Tall Women with Dame Maggie Smith, Amy in Amy's View opposite Dame Judi Dench, Lady Macbeth opposite Sean Bean, the title role in A Woman of No Importance and most recently Lady Driver in Donkey's Years. At the Royal Sheakespeare Company she played Rosalind in As You Like It and Hermione in the Winter's Tale.
In recent years Samantha has played leading roles on television in Fanny Hill, Outnumbered, Distant Shores, Donovan, Mobile, NCS Manhunt,Inspector Linley and Murder Rooms.
On film she is best known as Moneypenny in Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.
Samantha is married to actor Alexander Hanson and they have two children, Molly and Tom.
