Maud Adams was born and raised in a small town in Northern Sweden. A local photographer entered the teenager's photo in a national contest. When she won, it began a meteoric rise as a photographic model in Paris and New York. The studios came calling, resulting in starring roles in more than two dozen films as well as several television series and stage productions.
Maud Adams is more frequently remembered as the only actress who has been a leading lady in two James Bond features. She played the lovely and ill-fated Andrea Anders in The Man With The Golden Gun as well as the mysterious Octopussy in the film of the same name.
For the last thirty years Maud Adams has resided in the Hollywood area, with frequent visits to Sweden for appearances and to visit her family.
