Beautiful Emilia Fox is the latest member of the amazingly talented Fox acting dynasty. Edward Fox is her father and James Fox is her uncle! However, there is no doubt that this gifted actress would have been a star whatever her family connections.
Miss Fox's first onscreen role was in the 1995 phenomenon, "Pride and Prejudice", the BBC adaptation of Jane Austin's novel that took the nation by storm. Emilia played Georgina Darcy. Her next striking role was as Mrs de Winter in the Daphne Du Maurier thriller, "Rebecca", a part that her mother (actress Joanna David) also played in 1979! From here her popularity soared. Miss Fox starred in Stephen Poliakoff's "Shooting the Past", "The Scarlet Pimpernell" with Richard E Grant, "Bad Blood" opposite Lia Williams and Steven Mackintosh, David Copperfield and Roman Polanski's film "The Pianist" which both scooped Oscars for Best Director and Best Actor and won the Palme d'Or at that year's Cannes Film Festival.
Recently, Miss Fox has starred in historical dramas such as "Helen of Troy", "Gunpowder, Treason and Plot" and as Jane Seymour in "Henry VIII" and is currently starring in the BBC series, "Silent Witness".
Outside work, Miss Fox is very adept at Martial Arts and a talented pianist and third cellist as well. She attended the University of Oxford.
