Caerphilly Castle 100 Years

2023 marks 100 years since the Caerphilly Castle Class Locomotive was built, the iconic steam locomotive is represented here in a beautiful painting commissioned for us by Railway Artist John Wigston. With a purple Jennings stamp and a 10p Caerphilly Castle locomotive stamp, cancelled with our Swindon postmark (23rd August 2023) where these locomotives were made.
