British Army Tanks Miniature Sheet
Celebrate a true powerhouse of the British Army as we feature the Chieftain Tank on Army Vehicles miniature sheet first day cover. The Chieftain was a British main battle tank that served as the successor to the Centurion tank. Considered one of the best-armoured tanks of its time it was powered by a Rolls-Royce L60 engine and developed during the Cold War era and saw service in the British Army from the 1960s until it was retired in the 90s.
Despite being retired from active service, Chieftain’s are still used for target practice and have also been preserved in museums such as The Tank Museum, who we partnered with for this project.
British Army Vehicles miniature sheet collectable includes a Lincoln first day of issue postmark 02.09.21. Lincolnshire is the home of the first British Tank.
