Alex Henshaw signed 1980 Test Pilot tribute cover

Alex Henshaw (1912-2007) was a British air racer and test pilot. He made a name for himself when he won 1933 Siddeley Trophy during the Kings Cup Air Race at the age of just 20. Henshaw then became a test pilot for Vickers Armstrong during the Second World War where it’s estimated that he flew 10% of all Spitfires and Seafires produced for the war effort.
