Alan Deere (1917-1995) was a WWII New Zealand fighter ace. He flew Supermarine Spitfires with No. 54 Squadron during the Battle of France before achieving several more victories during the Battle of Britain. By the end of the war, he was credited with the destruction of 17 enemy aircraft, making him one of the top New Zealand fighter aces.
