9th April 2009 Concorde Queen of the Skies. First British Flight 40th Anniversary. Filton postmark, doubled with the set of 1969 Concorde stamps. Signed by John Cochrane & Alan Heywood.

John Cochrane was a British test pilot for the Anglo-French supersonic airliner.  He was co-pilot with Brian Trubshaw on the maiden flight of Concorde 002 on 9th April 1969 and was test pilot for all Concordes manufactured in the UK.

Alan Heywood flew with Brian Trubshaw and John Cochrane on 002's eventful first flight to reach Mach 2 on 12th November 1970, a big milestone in the project.
