1911 Coronation Postcard, ½d & 1d Stamp Double
22nd June 1911 Coronation Day ½d Green postcard plus the ½d Green and 1d Red stamps each with a Norwood CDS postmark. Both the postcard and stamps were released on the same day. This was produced by leading stamp dealer of the day Oswald Marsh. £285 catalogue value.
These two values were the first George V definitives, known as the Downey Head, based on a three-quarter profile photograph of the King taken by court photographers W. & D. Downey.
