1971 Sheila Scott North Pole Flight

1971 Sheila Scott carried and signed cover on her third world flight via the North Pole - the first flight over the North Pole in a light aircraft. 

Sheila Scott (1922-1988) was an English aviator who broke over 100 aviation records during her famous long-distance flights. One of her most notable was the 34,000 mile ‘world and a half’ flight in 1971, during which she became the first person to fly over the North Pole in a small aircraft.
