1938 Carpenters Airways Australia - New Guinea

1938 Carpenters Airways Australia - New Guinea - Australia first flight. Flown in the DH86 VH-UYU 'Carmania' & signed by the pilot Captain R. O. Mant. 

This was the companies first official flight from Sydney to Port Moresby, which also then stopped at Salamaua and Rabaul. The flight left Sydney on 30th May, arriving on 1st June, with the return flight by the same route leaving on the 3rd June and reaching Sydney on the 6th.
