The Caledonian Railway was established in the 19th century to build transport links between London and Glasgow, then extended its reach to Edinburgh and Aberdeen. In 1923 it was absorbed in to the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, but the 15th February marks the 175th Anniversary of the Caledonian Railway and its first full service from Glasgow to London.
Featuring the unmistakable blue engine, a 1st class Scottish Regional stamp and Glasgow special postmark for the 15th February 2023 celebrating an amazing 175 years.
