1960 Swordfish V Rocket Flight

1960 Swordfish V Rocket flown cover with the Echo I Communication for Peace stamp and Washington DC first day of issue slogan. The flight was organised by the Society of Applied Rocketry to honour the first USA space stamp. They also produced both imperf and perf versions of a rocket vignette, one of which was then applied to the covers.
