14th September 1936 Edward VIII 1d with a London WC slogan. Westminster Stamp Company cover and printed address.

Only four GB stamps were issued during his reign. The first three values were released on 1^st September 1936, with the 1d following two weeks later on the 14^th. The portrait was based on a photograph taken by Hugh Cecil, with the clean and simple designs reflecting Edwards own tastes and breaking away from the traditional and intricate details of his predecessors.
