Marking Moments in Railway History.
.jpg)
On Saturday 31st January & Sunday 1st February 2009 the locomotive will operate her first tours exclusively for covenantors of the A1 Pacific Trust. On the Saturday Tornado will haul a train between York and Newcastle replicating the final tour of the last original class A1 60145 St Mungo 42 years ago. Then, on the Sunday, the train will run from Doncaster and York to Durham and return.

On the 7th February the locomotive will venture further onto the East Coast Main Line when Tornado will head for Kings Cross and a date with destiny, carrying The Talisman headboard, the A1SLT's tour trademark. This tour will be open to the general public.
