Biography of Britt EklandBritt Ekland was born in Stockholm in 1942. After attending drama school she joined a travelling theatre group and had already acquired fame in two Italian movies by the early 1960s. Seeing her picture in the newspaper, actor Peter Sellers became besotted with her and the pair married in 1964. They had a daughter, Victoria, who herself became an actress. Britt appeared in two movies with Sellers in the late 1960s, before they divorced. Her movie career continued with films as varied as the comedy, "the Night They Raided Minskys" (1968), crime drama "Get Carter" (1971) with Michael Caine, horror "Asylum" (1972) with Peter Cushing, and the cult "The Wicker Man" (1973). Her most famous role came in 1974 as the ditzy Mary Goodnight alongside Roger Moore in "The Man With The Golden Gun", the ninth Bond movie. She played the inept MI6 agent transferred to the organisation's Jamaican station. As Bond tried to ensnare his foe Francisco Scaramanga, Goodnight posed as 007's wife.
